Our Mission



Throughout the world, Operation Smile volunteers repair childhood facial deformities while building public and private partnerships that advocate for sustainable healthcare systems for children and families. Together, we create smiles, change lives, heal humanity.

About Us



In addition to becoming a legally registered foundation, Operation Smile Paraguay launched its inaugural mission in September 2005. The international mission team worked with their Paraguayan counterparts to provide free medical evaluations to 329 children and surgery to 142 patients, their families and volunteers. Operation Smile also conducted an education conference during the mission with more than 100 nurses, dentists, anesthesiologists, and plastic surgeons attending. In January 2006, this brand new Foundation was prepared to conduct its first local mission, where the all-Paraguayan volunteer team provided free surgery to 13 children.
